Southern Belle Lamp Bases

Two sweet and petite boudoir lady figural lamps probably from the 50s. They look very much like the wonderful Japanese figurines by Inarco, Napco or Josef, but these ladies don’t have any maker’s marks on them. Their lovely, beautifully painted faces are expressive underneath their white bonnets trimmed in gold to match their ruffled full dresses. The one lamp is in excellent condition with no paint loss, chips or breaks that I can find. The other one has had repairs to the waist, elbow and back of the post as I show in the pictures. There may also be a couple of small spots of gold paint loss (or may be a manufacturing flaw) and one tiny fleabite on the hem of her skirt, but her face is in perfect condition and the overall look of the lamp is very good. The lamps are priced accordingly for the flaws of the one, but as a pair they are strikingly beautiful. Both are in perfect working condition. The lamps measure approximately 12” high to the top of the socket, about 5-1/2” wide at the base and 4-3/4” deep. These would be perfect on a Shabby Chic dressing table or in a little girl’s room!
